2009 Schedule (subject to alterations)

A more detailed schedule of individual workshop times, days and sign-ups will be available at the camp
once the gathering begins.

Saturday
2pm - 5pm Registration, check in, and personal camp set-up. You may arrive earlier in the day as well.
Saturday evening: Instructor reunion and barbeque

Sunday
9am - 12pm Registration continues
10am - all instructor meeting. Set up the weeks schedule.
12pm to 5pm- Introductory circle and workshop "commercials".
Workshop demonstrations
Basic skills symposiums: Friction fires, knife sharpening, making cordage, basic stone knives, and more.
Traditional Boat symposium and demonstration

Trade Blankets area open. Bring your stuff to barter, sell, and trade.

Sunday evening: fire, welcome celebration and music

Monday
Workshops begin and run 9am-5pm. Over 30 different workshops will be offered throughout the week.
The full workshop list & schedule is available on-site beginning Sunday evening.

Saturday
Workshops end at noon. Gathering ends by 3pm. Campsite closes at 6pm.

Evening activities
Evening activities include music around the fire, lots of good discussions, drum jams, trade blankets, star
gazing, a potluck feast, and more. Events will be posted and announced as we know.

Related Special Events
The annual Bad River "Manomin" Wild Rice Pow Wow starts Friday evening, August 20, with a grand
entry at 7:00 p.m. The festivities for Saturday will be a grand entry around noon - 1:00, a feast for
everyone in the afternoon, and a second grand entry at 7:00 p.m. The powwow continues on Sunday with
a grand entry around noon - 1:00. Vendors selling food and other wares on site. Signs posted on highway.
