2026 Lake Superior

Traditional Ways Gathering

Instructor Application

**This form will close at 12am on March 1st**

Welcome! We are so glad you are applying to teach at the gathering this year. We ask that instructors teach a minimum of 1 full day in exchange for their entrance fee, as well as entrance for one additional person. Your teaching time could be split up between multiple days, for example one morning and another afternoon. Please keep this in mind as you plan and propose your classes. You will also be responsible for having a presence at the "class symposium" Sunday afternoon of the gathering, to introduce your class to interested participants.

If you are applying with a co-instructor for any of your classes, we ask that both instructors fill out separate applications, and list each others names in the co-instructor box for the appropriate class. Your class descriptions should be the same copy-pasted text. We expect you to apply with co-instructors ONLY if they are needed for instructing a class. It is not just to "have a buddy" around.

As this is a "traditional skills" gathering, we expect classes to be taught with hand tools. We ask that power tools are not brought to the gathering or used at the gathering. If you need to use power tools to prepare materials, please do that prior to the gathering itself.

You should see a confirmation message pop up on this page after submitting your form, that's how you know we've received it! You will also receive an e-mail notification by March 18th to let you know if your classes were accepted or not.

We will not be accepting proposals for classes in any way after this form closes on March 1st.

Please reach out if you have any questions about how classes work or the application process!

If accepted, would you be attending the gathering for the full week or just part of the week?
